Francesco Bagnaia achieved a drama-filled MotoGP victory at the 2023 Mandalika Pertamina Grand Prix, Sunday (15 October) because Jorge Martin failed to lead. Martin looked absolutely amazing at the start and showed a really great gait. From sixth position, the Pramac Ducati rider immediately stepped on the gas and took the lead at the first corner.

Francesco Bagnaia also made a superb start. Starting from 13th position, Pecco rose seven positions in the first lap to finish sixth. Bagnaia then came third in the third round. There was also drama in the third stage when Luca Marini was hit by Brad Binder and fell. In the end, the KTM competitor received a long lap penalty.
